The detail is where it is all decided: the threshold, the joint, the point where wood meets stone. These are the passages nobody notices at first glance, and they are what separates a floor that was laid from a floor that was thought about.






Here the oak sets the rhythm of the room. The herringbone draws a geometry that carries the eye towards the light, and every board was chosen so that the grain would run on cleanly, without a break, from one wall to the other.
